What can I expect at my first treatment?
During your first treatment your practitioner will complete a thorough history and physical examination. They will then review their findings with you, explain their diagnosis; if appropriate and discuss treatment options with you. This is also a good time to discuss treatment expectations and allows for you to create a treatment plan that you feel comfortable with. After this discussion treatment will be rendered.
Your initial visit with both your chiropractor and your massage therapist will be one hour in duration.
Where can I park?
2-hour parking is available in front of the building along Seymour St. and unmetered spots on 7th Avenue between St. Paul St. and Seymour St. may also be available
Does my insurance cover my treatment?
Many extended medical plans will cover all, or a portion of your treatment.
Kamloops Integrated Wellness is able to bill many insurance providers directly, which lowers your up-front costs for treatment. At this time the following insurance companies accept direct billing:
- Cowan
- Great West Life Insurance
- CINUP
- Manulife
- Sun Life Financial
- Standard Life
- iA Financial Group
- Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan

If your insurance company is not listed above please contact us to see if direct billing is available for you at this time.
How often will I need to come?
Each treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and will be discussed during your first treatment.
Frequency of treatment will depend on a few factors; severity of injury, chronicity of condition, any potential timelines imposed on recovery (i.e. an upcoming race/event) and your own response to treatment. Treatment frequency will be reevaluated at each visit and communicated to you based on the progress your practitioner is seeing.
What should I wear?
Please come dressed in comfortable and loose or stretchy clothing. Your massage therapist will guide you to an appropriate level of undress depending on your treatment area. If necessary, your chiropractor has shorts and gowns available for you to change into if your exam requires it.
Do I need a referral?
No! There are no circumstances in which you require a referral for chiropractic care.
For coverage with some extended benefits providers you may need a doctor’s referral for Registered Massage Therapy treatment. Please contact your insurance company directly to determine your requirements.t.
What if I’ve been in a car accident?
We’re sorry to hear you’ve been in an accident. At this time our chiropractors treat and bill directly to ICBC. You will not be required to pay for this treatment.
Currently, our Registered Massage Therapists do not bill directly to ICBC. You are still able to receive treatment, however you will need to pay at your appointment and manage your own reimbursement from the appropriate insurer.
What if I have an underlying medical condition
Regardless of your medical condition, we are able to work around it. Your practitioner will discuss this with you during your treatment and while it may require that your treatment be modified in some way, it will not preclude you from treatment entirely.
What if I’m underage?
Chiropractors and massage therapists treat people through all stages of life and are trained to modify their treatment accordingly. Newborns, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, adults and elderly; regardless of your age you can benefit from treatment, just ask us how!
What if I have questions before I book my treatment?
Simply call the clinic and if we’re not able to answer your question right away then we will find the answer and get back to you as soon as possible. Don’t hesitate; we love to talk!
